The short version
Your input is never uploaded. Text and files you paste, type or open in PasteKit are processed entirely in your browser. We do not receive, store, log or share them. The security page shows the technical controls that enforce this.
Information stored on your device
With "Remember" turned on, your browser's local storage keeps your last input, formatting options and the last 20 snippets so they are there when you return. This data stays on your device. You can turn remembering off or wipe it at any time in Settings.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure how fast pages load. It records the page address (without the part after#, which PasteKit removes before any analytics script runs), the referring site, your browser and device type, your approximate country, and page-load timings. It does not set cookies or use local storage, does not fingerprint or track you across sites, and never receives anything you paste, format or convert — that stays in your browser.
Error reports
This deployment does not send error reports. (Error reporting is optional, off by default, and never includes your input when a deployer enables it.)
Advertising and cookies
This deployment shows no ads and sets no advertising cookies.
Share links
A share link contains your input in the part of the URL after #, which browsers do not send to servers. Anyone who has the link can read the content, so treat it like the content itself. PasteKit warns you if it detects secrets before you share.
Loading from a URL
When you use "Load from URL", your browser requests that URL directly. The site you load from will see that request as it would any visit.
Children
PasteKit is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13.
